The Delegation of the European Commission in Cairo organized its first Photography Competition in Egypt
. The Theme of the Competition was: "Egypt: Life in a picture". The aim
of this competition was to promote and stimulate creativity among
amateur photographers in Egypt and to give them an opportunity to
showcase their work to a wide audience. My photograph won among the
best thirty out of 500 that entered the competition. An exhibition of
those best thirty photos will be held from the 3rd till the 28th of
December 2008 in the Townhouse Gallery of Contemporary Art in downtown, Cairo.

Three months ago the same photo was selected by Susan Welchman, National Geographic photo editor, to be the best among those submitted in August, week 4. |

It has been an honor and a pleasure to work with a fabulously dedicated team on the newest of Mrs. Judith Forbis manuscripts: "Heritage of Al Shaqab". Dr. Nasr Marei and I have worked on the translation of the manuscript from English into Arabic. We have been both delighted with the enormous support shown by Mrs. Forbis, the editor Ms. Michelle Mannering as well as Al Shaqab staff.

New Project with Gigi Grasso and Elvis Giughera |
Translating articles on Arabian Essence was the first time for me to venture in a business relationship with Gigi Grasso and Elvis Giughera. It has been decided to solidify mutual cooperation between both parties and venture in another promising project that will be unveiled in The World Championship in Paris, Salon du Cheval. Not only am I extremely excited about this project as the translator in charge, but also equally excited for the audience who - and I am certain about this- will give this work favorable judgment.
